Whether for pleasure or career purposes, learning British Sign Language enables confident communication and could open up new opportunities.

ASSIST Autism and Sensory Support in Staffordshire

Thank you for your interest in the courses delivered by ASSIST. By following the link below you will be taken to our webpage which contains the information you requested as well as some other details which may be of interest to you. To enrol, please complete the application form and return this to us at the address below. We do not require payment for you to enrol but we do need you to confirm your interest so that a place can be secured for you on the course. The course will run if enough interest is registered.

Further to this, please complete the invoice details on the application form and sign the student declaration.

Upon receipt of the application form, when the required numbers are reached, a letter of confirmation of place will be sent to you. An invoice will be posted to you in September for payment of the course fee. Payments can be made in instalments – details of which will be on your invite letter. We regret that reductions to course fees cannot be granted as we do not receive any funding to cover these costs.

Sue Birkin is a qualified and experienced BSL teacher based in Burton on Trent. Sue is profoundly deaf and her first language is BSL. With her guidance and support you can learn British Sign Language, communicate with deaf people and achieve a qualification.
